Problem of the Week due Friday (optional)

List all the possible outcomes when four coins are tossed (at once).  Determine the theoretical probability of having exactly 2 heads and 2 tails.  Show work!  Write probability as a fraction and percent.

Problem of the Week due Friday, May 16th (optional)

A box of 12 popsicles has equal numbers of cherry, orange, lime, and grape.  Alex likes everything but lime.

1)  What is the probability that when Alex reaches into the box randomly he will select a popsicle he likes?

Two days later, 2 cherry, 1 grape, and 1 lime have been eaten.

2)  Have Alex's chances of selecting lime gone up or down?  Explain.

Homework week of May 12 - May 16

Homework for the next week will be to watch instructional videos and fill out a guided notes sheet given in class.  The videos are accessed through www.edpuzzle.com with the same username and password students use to log onto school computers.  Here is the homework list for this week:

Monday night - "Lesson 1 - Customary Conversions Day One"

Tuesday night - "Lesson 2 - Customary Conversions Day Two"

Hoot Project

The Hoot Project is due Monday, May 12th if it is not finished in class on Friday.  The Hoot Project is creating a double bar graph comparing the number of endangered plants and animals in different U.S. States to go along with one of the themes of Hoot.

Test Alert!

There will be a 50 point Test on Data Analysis on Tuesday, May 6th.  Then there will be a 4 point open-ended response on Wednesday, May 7th.  A study guide will be given on Monday.
